2017 KE Documentary Births | Dallas, Fort Worth and Surrounding Areas Birth Photography
This past year has been such an AMAZING year for KE Documentary! From image competitions, to family sessions and birth stories.
Let's talk birth!
Fort Worth Birth Center in Fort Worth, Texas. The first birth of the year and oh how I loved being there. Not only are our firstborn children born on the same day, but this was the second time I was a part of this family's birth team. This sweet little girl makes baby #3 littles for them.
All About Babies in Argyle, TX. Lauren, and Eric are both chiropractors. Nine months before the birth of their third child, Lauren was a part of my own birth team. This birth brought us full circle. To make it even more exciting this little one was born during a hailstorm where at one point we went into a closet for shelter. This birth will be blogged soon!
Home Birth in Midlothian, Texas. It was such a honor to photograph another birth photographers birth. Terry Gyde was the midwife. You can see more of this birth here.
Mansfield Methodist in Mansfield, Texas. This is my best friend. The person that introduced my husband and I. What a joy to be a part of her birth team and welcome her first baby!
Harris Methodist, downtown Fort Worth Texas. This birth. It meant the world to be to be a part of this little mans birth team.
Dallas Home Birth, Dallas Texas. The first time we met was at their birth. To watch this husband and wife work together with the help of their two eldest was amazing. You can see more of this birth story, here. Patricia Gross was their midwife.
This was the first birth story for Plano Birthplace on Plano, TX and it was a privilege to be the photographer and welcome this little one earthside. Blog coming soon.
Joshua Home Birth, This little one surprised us all when the first contraction started only 43 minutes before the baby was in momma's arms. This momma rocked her homebirth with Edenway midwives.
Acclaim Nurse-Midwives in Fort Worth, Texas. It's a girl! I love surprise genders and this one definitely made me wish I went "team green" with my kiddos. This was my second time to photograph a Birth Story for this family. Loved the relationships between the family and their midwives.
Harris Methodist downtown Fort Worth, Texas. This momma worked hard for her VBAC and I can't wait for you to hear her story. Her blog post will go live in one week!
Edenway and Denton Presby came together for this birth. Oh this couple! It was a joy to photograph them meeting their son for the first time. So. Much. Love. with this birth.
Born at Baylor Dallas in Dallas, Texas. This little one came right on time and the last one of the year for KE Documentary. Happy Thanksgiving and so so worth the wait. Blog coming soon.
Amazing, amazing birth stories this year! Each unique and heartfelt. It was SUCH an honor to be a part of these births. Each one is so very dear to my heart.

This year there were a total of 12 births, 5 girls, and 7 boys.
The fastest birth was 43 minutes.
Longest time away was 3 births in 3 days.
10 different cities.
First time to photograph in a closet/hailstorm.
Three repeat families.
This year KE Documentary worked with 17 different birth workers; including hospitals, birth centers, midwives, and doulas.
A huge thank you to the families that had me join their birth teams.
